The Hub ∙ CastAR (Tilt Five)
This design document was created when I worked at CastAR, to give a development team a rough concept of the demo and flow of the game. We planned to showcase our tangible cards, wand, and CastAR headset. Therefore the demo is separated into three Quests and each Quest shows one or two of the technologies.
Based Flow of Demo
The demo starts from the HUB with a robot character. Players have several different cards, 3 of which are Quest cards. When players put down a Quest card on the table, a portal opens and the character will enter the portal.

1st Quest
The first demo showcases the wand and CastAR headset tracking. The character will enter an area that is a puzzle. The wand is a flashlight that the player can point towards the board. There are several artifacts in the environment that need to be lit up by using a flashlight. Once the artifacts are lighted up, the environment will change, so the character is able to move toward the exit.

2nd Quest
This quest primarily focuses on the wand and tangible technology. In this quest, the wand will represent as a digital hand in the game. In addition, players can put several tangible cards on the table which summon digital items in the game. Players can see the digital items and the hand via the CastAR headset. The quest is showing that players can interact with the digital environment by using the wand and tangible cards. The character arrives on a floating island where he found another robot is trapped in a cage. Players need to release the trapped robot and help them escape from the island.
